Web Designer

Karl has been working as a freelance web and graphic designer for around 8 years since leaving school, gaining vast experience in many aspects of web and graphic design, such as HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, PHP and MySQL, along with a broad knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Karl is interested in all kinds of visual communication, but his major focus is on designing web, mobile & tablet interfaces. His computer skills are all completely self-taught and include, but are not limited to, website design and development, brochure and business card design, graphic design and UI/UX design. He also possess a good knowledge of responsive web design practices and can use frameworks such as Twitter Bootstrap, Wordpress and Foundation. During his career in web and graphic design Karl has been lucky enough to win 2 ‘site of the day’ awards for sites he designed in Adobe Muse, the reward was his sites being featured on the Adobe.com website, one of these websites was then used at the Adobe MAX conference back in May 2013. In his current role as a full-time Web Designer, he has had the privilege of designing web-to-print systems for big name companies such as Adidas, Jaguar Land Rover, UNICEF, DFS, Bensons for Beds and Owlerton Stadium, just to name a few.
