A: Keep on the cutting edge of technology and pay the staff twice their market value. They are not just staff, they are the reason for your success and your second family...

Q: Describe your office environment.
A: There is no time clock or deadline-everyone knows what they need to do and simply take care of anything that comes our way. Extremely casual environment with no schedule such as Monday-Friday 9-5. That does not exist in this company-only results.

Q: Describe how your team interact and work together.
A: We consider each other equals in respect to our particular talents. There is always someone smarter, faster, and younger coming up behind you and all of them work with me, not "for me".

Q: What makes you different from other web design companies?
A: We actually listed to our clients and give them what they want, not what we think they want.

Q: How do you get the majority of your business?
A: All business is from the website or word-of-mouth referrals. We do not advertise and the phone number is unlisted on the website.

Q: Describe how you manage projects from the initial client contact to completion and handover.
A: Every client and project is different so this question is not relevant to our business. We adapt to the situation and client.

Q: What do you think is the most crucial element of creating a good client relationship?
A: LISTEN!

Q: How do you manage demanding clients?
A: We manage them just like anyone else since we are more demanding of ourselves than any client could possibly imagine.

Q: If a client was trying to decide between a shortlist of web design companies, how would you recommend they go about selecting the right one for them?
A: Shop around and ask pertinent questions. If they do not like the answers, then it is the wrong company.

Q: Where do you see your company in 10 years time?
A: We will still be one of the best and likely increase revenues by 2000%.

Q: Where do you see the web design industry in the future?
A: Only the best will still be in business. A 12 year old kid can design a website but if it is not found by visitors, it is totally useless...We are experts in SEO and I do not mean that G*&^gle adw$(%ds farce.

Q: What computers do you have use in your offices, PCs or Macs?
A: Both PC and Mac

Q: How was your company name chosen?
A: The name was chosen after my grandfather's business "Alert Electric" that he chose while living and working on Long Island, NY as a Master Electrician. He chose the name for his company so it would be listed near the top in the phone book. I chose "Alert Computing" to honor his memory.

Q: If you were to give your clients one tip on how to get the most from their website what would it be?
A: Make it simple to navigate, lose all the bells and whistles such as flying graphics, etc. since it just distracts from the point of the site. The visitor should be able to find what they want, get it and leave within 6 mouse-clicks. If the site is difficult to navigate, they will not return-guaranteed. Also, get an expert to be sure your site shows up on page 1 of search engines!
